(ST. LOUIS, MO.) April 11, 2010 – Among the sea of red flooding Kiener Plaza and Busch Stadium at the Cardinal’s home opener you will see a traveling billboard for 3rd district Congressional candidate Ed Martin. In parade-like style an Ed Martin supporter created a large billboard attached to a flat bed truck. On Monday, April 12th Ed Martin will hit a campaign homerun as he rides around in the truck spreading his message and meeting many Cards fans from Missouri’s third district.
“I, like most Cardinal fans, am always excited to see the start of a new season. This year many folks would like to see the start of a new Congress too. I want to let them know that just like the Cardinals I plan to work hard to earn their support and that I vow to truly represent them. With their support it can be a win for Missouri’s third district and our home team too,” said 3rd district Congressional candidate Ed Martin.
Martin is a loyal fan of the Cardinals. He created the website www.WhiteyHerzog.com to rally for Herzog’s induction into the Hall of Fame. Ed Martin’s commitment to the community goes well beyond baseball. His effort, SaveAB.com, grew to some 85,000 supporters strong. There is no fight too big or too small for Martin when it comes to looking out for the interests of the area.
On Monday Martin will leave his campaign headquarters at noon, take Route 66 past the popular Ted Drewes, on down to Kiener Plaza and Busch Stadium.
When: April 12, 2002 - Noon to 2pm
Where: traveling around Kiener Plaza and Busch Stadium
