“I’m for Ed Martin” ad campaign kicks off with local heavy hitter
(ST. LOUIS, MO.) March 31, 2010 – Thursday morning the ad campaign for 3rd district Congressional candidate Ed Martin kicks off on KMOX with an endorsement from Martin Duggan. Duggan has been a well respected voice in media, business, and politics for more than 60 years in St. Louis. From his start at the Globe News Democrat back in 1939 until he retired from Donnybrook last year, Duggan has been a staple in St. Louis media. He’s been described as, “The lovable, irascible Donnybrook “provocateur,” (Deb Peterson, St. Louis Post Dispatch, August 27, 2009) and a “…journalist and gentleman provocateur” (Kristen Hare, St. Louis Beacon, Nov. 29, 2009.)
“It is such an honor to have someone as revered in the community as Martin Duggan support me. Everyone knows that Martin calls it like it is and has no qualms about speaking his mind. So to have him speak on my behalf I think speaks volumes. I’m so proud to be able to call him and his wife Mae friends,”said Ed Martin.
The radio ads begin running on KMOX Thursday morning. Log times are as follows: 6:18am, 8:28am, 10:45am, 1:58pm, 3:19pm, 4:42pm.
