My lord — are these the sort of people that represent the Republican party? Calling President Obama a dictator, a Marxist, and all sorts of evils? Well, since Republican heroes such as Glenn Beck and Newt Gingrich have been doing the same thing, I suppose so.
It is amazing how the GOP have gone off the cliff in their lunacy. “Party before country” appears to be the new Republican slogan, with their desire to do and say anything to achieve victory.
I will never vote Republican again in my lifetime at this rate.
This is “mainstream”? Yikes!! Not in my world they’re not – thank God!
I’d be willing to bet that 99.9% doesn’t know what a marxist or socialist is. Ignorance, boldly on display.
And Mr. Martin appears at their event and supports this type of nonsense? It’s pathetic from those in attendance – and even more pathetic that Mr. Martin didn’t speak out against it.
He certainly won’t be receiving my vote.

@baculus…yes, this is the new regime of the right. It’s all about fear, misinformation, propoganda and lies. I haven’t found one conservative, even amongst my friends, that has any desire to research the facts. They get their “learnin’” off of these signs or from Glenn Beck. Yet, when asked questions about their personal lives, it’s obvious that they would benefit, and even support, much of what the left is offering if they knew the truth.
I feel sorry for some of them.
It’s depressing seeing the racism just bubbling under the surface at these sort of rallies. It’s one thing to oppose Obama and the Democrats on policy, it’s quite another to call him a Marxist, or a Fascist, or a Dictator, or not even an American. An example of a good Republican who vehemently opposes Obama on policy is Wisconsin Republican Paul Ryan. At both the GOP question-and-answer session with Obama as well as the Health Care Summit, it was clear that Ryan and Obama had mutual respect for each other despite they disagreed on the best policies for America. Ryan attacked Obama’s policies with facts, and Obama countered back with facts… it was an “adult” debate, not like these childish temper tantrums of the teabaggers… filled with outright lies and misrepresentations. Another Republican who I sorely miss is the great Jack Kemp. What the hell has happened to the Republican party? The hate is downright scary.
Ed Martin should be ashamed.

I am so sorry that I could not be at the Tea Party this year. I had another obligation. It looked like a lot of fun. What great pictures! I remember so well the first Tea Party last year that I attended in February. I did not know hardly anyone in the Tea Party movement. Now I have so many people that I can call my friends. I am so glad that Ed Martin was at the Tea Party with his friend Anthony Martin. What a couple of nice guys (and handsome too!). Ed Martin is 10,000 times the man that Rusty Carnahan is. I love you Ed!
I can not understand why there are still brainwashed idiots out there like baculus who don’t get that this is reality. We now had a new liberal social commi nazi democratic party in control. Maybe people like baculus should leave my country because last I remember in regards to real history and all we through off anything to do with control by a few people like a King and opted for control by a republic in which we all participate to decided together how we rule ourselves. Also we fought a war called World War II to get rid of the NAZI”S who were killing everyone in there path and then we fought a cold war to get rid of Communism. We why are you so afraid of looking at what is happening right in here in American because socialist health care is Communism, nationalized Retirement is Communism, the creation of a national security force is Nazism and Communism, the creation of NOR CAL is both Communism and Nazism, the creation of camps to hold mass groups of peoples it both Communism and Nazism, the creation of a federal data base to finger print every single person is both again, the taking of land because the federal government does not want you to use it like in the land gab bill the House passed at the begging of Obama term is both again. What part do you not get baculus because if you don’t get it yet then get the blank out of my country because we have a no vacancy sign for brainwashed idiots who can’t read, think , process and understand anything expect repeating what is told to them by the new liberal social commi nazi democratic party. They have clearly stated many times that they want socialism, they want to control how much money you make, they want to limit investments any doctors make, they want to limit any investments you make, they want to steal your personal 401k plan and put the money into the federal government, they have created an organization to spy on what you do and tell someone else that you are doing something bad and gave them the right to kill you, they are created an executive order to allow all foreign police to come onto American Soil and take you anytime out of your house and back to foreign property with proper court orders and they can take your money, house and possessions without any court order. Get it yet??
Tony Tiger, in what way is it racist to accuse a political leader of Marxism or Fascism? I can justly accuse Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi of Marxism or Facism as well. Is that racist? Or have Marxists and Facists become racial minorities now? When we accuse Obama, Reid or Pelosi of Marxism or Facism, we are disagreeing with their policies, but the specifics are a little lengthy to put on a sign. Perhaps dictator is a little extreme, but there still is that lingering question of whether President Obama is a natural born U. S. citizen. That question would simply go away if he would produce a U. S. birth certificate, so why doesn’t he? Could it be that he doesn’t have one to produce?
Anyway, I wish I had been able to be there. Unfortunately, I have to work a lot of hours to be able to pay my taxes. Hey, I must be rich since these guys only tax the rich! Good to know, because I always thought I was solidly in the lower middle class.

What a great Tea Party. Ed Martin was the hero of the day. The people GET IT! We can go back to the country we created with our constitution. It is a lot of work but together we will get it done. Rubber Stamp Russ has got to go! Jane
Ed, you’re great. Don’t let the juvenile socialist wannabes get you down. You’re running a great campaign. They write such vitriol because they’re scared. Personally, I enjoy reading the childish rants from seminar commenters. Hey, they’re wasting their time with this, while you’re out winning the game. Kick hell out of Carnahan in November, bro. Now that’s change I can believe in.
Some thoughts:
The Tea Party and the GOP – The tea party organizations state adamantly they are not the GOP, though certainly the GOP is not nearly as hostile to the concerns tea-partiers have as your garden variety St. Louis alderman, much less the academic scrum compacted around the White House.
Commie in the White House – This administration is up to its armpits in fashionable Marxists who quote Mao, Che and other murderous human stains. To this president, it is fine and dandy. While in college, Obama makes it clear he sought out Marxist teachers. Why – to argue the merits of free market capitalism? His church preached Marxism as a cornerstone to their social message. His community organizer friends may try to avoid scrutiny by playing a shell game, but they are Marxist/Socialists hell-bent to wreck capitalism.
He earned the label though both the media and the inept campaign of John McCain refused to tell the people this awful truth. Let us be honest and let him wear it.

Racism on Display – Is that all you got? That’s it? “Racists”? I thought you red-diaper hippy types were so much smarter and creative than we stump-toothed NASCAR fans. Your kung-fu is weak and flaccid, and brings shame to your rhetorical dojo. Such reflexive insults are beneath the serious consideration given by others. I’ll not record in words what I might say in person, but if you close your eyes and concentrate, I’ll beam it to you telepathically. It’s only two words.
I’ll never vote Republican again – Please, like any of you ever have. We all know just the photo of Ronald Reagan induces severe eye irritation. Just be honest and complain bitterly about the tea-partiers as a proud red-diaper hippy out of the closet – don’t claim a mantle of legitimacy by pretending you’re switching parties because of something “outrageous” you see at a tea party. You are not stupid, neither have I hit my head recently.
WOW…..Obamas is going to make our children and grandchildren pay in the future by bringing more debt that any persident ever!!!! He’s done nothing about the oil spill, He makes ignorant remarks towards the only allies we have…AND THIS IS OUR PRESIDENT!! HE’S HURTING OUR COUNTRY MORE THAN HELPING IT…AND I USE TO BE A DEMOCRAT…NEVER AGAIN!!!!!
