National Republican Congressional Committee Gives Martin Highest Recognition
(ST. LOUIS, MO.) Feb. 8, 2010 – The National Republican Congressional Committee is recognizing the hard work and grassroots effort of 3rd District Congressional Candidate Ed Martin. In a release today the NRCC listed Martin as a “contender candidate.” Martin has been on its radar for months and quickly climbed to this top level status. Being a “contender” means Martin has not only proven his ability but exceeded NRCC benchmark goals for a successful campaign. Some of his outstanding efforts include his Town Halls on healthcare and jobs, his meet and greets with voters of the district, and his fundraising. Martin had a record breaking 4th quarter on his fundraising report – rapidly closing the gap on his opponent Congressman Russ Carnahan.
Martin joins an elite group being awarded the “contender” status. ‘These candidates are putting the pieces of a winning campaign in place by meeting the rigorous goals laid out by the Young Guns program and aggressively paving the way toward victory on Election Day,” said NRCC Chairman Pete Sessions.
Martin continues to gain support in his grassroots effort and build an effective winning campaign.
