Ad Takes Aim at “Rubber Stamp Russ”
(ST. LOUIS, MO.) Feb. 8, 2010 – On a day when football and commercials take center stage, 3rd District Congressional Candidate Ed Martin launched his own ad. He premiered it during a Big Game party fundraiser in his honor Sunday. While The Who sang “Who Are You” on the field in Florida for the half-time show, Ed Martin supporters were treated to an ad showing just who he is and why he’s running for Congress.
The ad, which is airing on-line, showcases exactly who Congressman Russ Carnahan is too. Carnahan’s voting record for the leftist agenda of Speaker Nancy Pelosi and President Obama has earned him the title “Rubber Stamp Russ.” Highlighted in the ad is Carnahan’s vote for cap and trade and a stimulus bill which awarded his brother taxpayer money for a wind farm. It also points out his unwillingness to listen to the people of his district even at his own Town Hall. Through all of these things and more he’s let his district down and justifiably earned the title of “Rubber Stamp Russ.”
The facts on Congressional candidate Ed Martin are also highlighted. He is a family man with family values. He’s a taxpayer and tea partier. Martin is a man for family and freedom and, unlike Carnahan, he’s proven to be a fighter for American jobs –Missouri jobs. When Anheuser Busch was up for sale Martin didn’t hover on the sidelines like Congressman Carnahan. Martin rallied an effort to save AB drawing local and international support.
Martin’s message is getting reviews like “very powerful” and “great tackle.” His ad received more than 500 hits in just a few hours on You Tube and countless more on his website EdMartinforCongress.com. It also has already been picked up and reposted by several bloggers and other sites.
