Congressman Carnahan, as part of his ongoing efforts to be the most disinterested representative in the US House, has scheduled a meeting with representatives of German industry and trade. The topic? Jobs: The True Meaning of Transatlantic Economic Relations. After giving billions to Chrysler (Formerly Daimler-Chrysler) and watching those jobs shipped out of the country, and shrugging his shoulders in defeat as Anheuser-Busch was bought by the Belgian company InBev, I would think “transatlantic economic relations” would be a sore subject.
I am going to have a jobs meeting as well, except I’m meeting with the people of the Third District to discuss American jobs. I want to hear from employees and employers alike. For those of you who can’t make it to the swank Washington, DC. hotel for Congressman Carnahan’s meeting- I hope to see you at Surdyke Harley Davidson next Tuesday. Please RSVP if you are coming.
